Stuart, FL USA ? Ocean Specialists, Inc. (OSI) is pleased to announce the addition of Jerry Neely as Senior Project Manager. In his new role, Jerry is the Project Manager and the primary technical consultant for the development and fabrication of a deep water Ocean Observing System featuring a fiber optic seabed backbone and several powered instrumentation nodes.
Prior to joining OSI, Jerry spent over 26 years in ROV operations and management, including sixteen years managing ROV operations and projects with the Harbor branch Oceanographic Institution (HBOI). At HBOI he was the Project Manager and Lead Engineer for the majority of HBOI’s major Subsea systems designs and fabrication. During his last six years at HBOI Jerry was the Engineering Division Director responsible for all aspects of business development, contract s execution and managed a wide array of Ocean Engineering and Scientific systems development. From 2004 thru mid 2009 Jerry worked for Lockheed Martin developing subsea vehicles for the US Navy, reaching the level of Engineering Program Manager for one of Lockheed’s most critical Programs. In his new role at OSI, Jerry will focus on the development and implementation of Ocean Observing systems as well as other Government and commercial systems on a worldwide basis.
